Miss ShayVonda L Mayes

ShayVonda Mayes has always had a passionate love for Music and Dance. At the age of 14 she was discovered by Karen Clark-Green of Archangel Dance Theatre in Youngstown, Ohio where she was given a full scholarship to begin training and join the Archangel Dance Company. She is a 2005 graduate of Central Visual and Performing Arts High School where she majored in Dance and Vocal Music.

In 2008 she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Stephens College. During her course of study at Stephens College, she worked with various professionals in the industry including: Jan Miller of Joffrey Ballet, Deborah Carr of Charles Weidman Dance Company, Dyane Harvey and Abdel Salaam of Forces of Nature.

Her technique includes Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip hop and West African.
