Mr. Orcinneo Gaines
Orcinneo “LameO” Gaines has an undeniable love for dance. Orcinneo has had the honor of being captain of two hip hop dance teams performing mainly in the Northwestern region of Missouri, the opportunity to choreograph for Saint Louis based artist such as Louie V and Linzie Grey, and has also worked with Xcel Modeling Agency and the Sigma Kappa Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. choreographing opening routines for their fashion shows and scholarship pageants. While working at the Dance Arts Center in Saint Joseph, MO during his senior year at Missouri Western State University he came to be known as LameO and developed his L.A.M.E. style. L.A.M.E. is an acronym for Leaning Against Mankind’s Expectations. His L.A.M.E. style is the foundation for Orcinneo’s teaching philosophy and style. He instills in all his students the idea that they are not restricted to stereotypes and the norms of life and that the world is a big place with dance being a portal to it. With this he takes hip-hop dance away from its’ expected mainstream form and bring it back to its foundation of free expression.
